English Proficiency Requirements
One of the following is required to be admitted to Spokane
Community College:
- TOEFL (Cambridge examinations, IELTS and TOEIC may also be considered),
- completion of an intensive English program with a letter of recommendation from the
English institute,
- graduation from a U.S. high school, or
- U.S. college transfer with a minimum of one complete term (quarter or semester) which
includes English 101 (or equivalent) with a grade of 2.0 (C+) or better.
Note:
Native speakers of English from Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, or New Zealand are
not required to provide proof of English proficiency for admission to the college.
