Parking at SCC is by permit only.
The following permits are available for people who qualify for them: |
| Administration: |
Parking in this area requires a
faculty permit with a red dot. This permit allows the holder
to park in Faculty or Administration areas.

| Full-Time
Faculty: |
Parking in this area requires a
faculty permit for the current school year. This permit allows
the holder to park in any Faculty area.
|
| Part-Time
Faculty: |
Parking in this area requires a
faculty permit for the current quarter. This permit
allows the holder to park in any Faculty area.
|
| Student: |
Parking in this area requires a student permit for the current quarter. This permit allows
the holder to park in any Student parking space. Student parking
in orange areas is not always available.

| "D"
Sticker: |
This sticker is a "D" which is placed on the college permit.
This permit is issued by the Security Secretary. It is given to persons
with temporary mobility problems. This allows the holder to park in any
"D" Handicapped area, ASC Reserved parking, Student, Faculty,
or Visitor area. These permits do not allow students to park in State
Handicapped, Maintenance, Administration, or Carpool areas.

| Handicapped: |
To park in a Handicapped area, the driver must display
his or her State Handicapped permit as well as some type of SCC campus permit.
Those displaying a both permits can park in any parking area except Maintenance and Administration.

| Guest: |
Guest parking permits are temporary. They are issued either at the Security
Office or by any one of the secretaries on campus. A guest permit
is only valid
for the time period indicated on the permit. This permit allows the
holder to park for any length of time in Visitor, Student, or
Faculty parking areas only. Upon issuing a permit to a student,
the desk officer will cross out "guest" and write "student." |
The campus parking map shows the approximate location of
relevant parking areas.
Be sure to comply with parking regulations
such as fire lanes, loading zones, etc., and other, as signs indicate or law
requires. |
