1 Special Presentation

Spokane mountaineer Kevin Jones presents "Climbing into the Death Zone: Summiting a Himalayan Peak" at 7 p.m. in the Lair Auditorium. This spectacular slide show highlights the recent (September 2005) successful climb of Cho Oyu, the world's sixth tallest mountain at 26,902 feet. Join us for a six-week cultural and scenic Himalayan adventure up into the death zone. This presentation is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the SCC Geology Lecture Series and SANE (Student Association for Nature and the Environment).
