Program Description

This program exceeds current Federal and State regulations providing classroom and on-the-road training for Class A combination vehicles. This 12 credit training course is offered each quarter for students to gain the required knowledge and skills in order to prepare for the Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Course includes training for the following endorsements:
  • Airbrakes
  • Combination vehicles
  • Tanker
  • Tanker trailers
  • Double and triples
  • Hazard material

Program Prerequisites

  • Prior to the start of the course, students must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have met the Department of Licensing’s certified physical and drug test requirements
  • Carry a valid driver’s license from the state in which the student resides
  • Obtain a motor vehicle or valid driving record for the last three year period
