This site includes resources for the service learning practitioner: faculty, administrators and students. It includes model programs and sample syllabi from a variety of disciplines. It also has extensive links to other Web resources, information on grants and legislation.

Center for Civic Engagement (Univ of Texas): www.utep.edu/cce
This site presents several service learning programs that promote campus/community relationships. It also includes sample syllabi from various disciplines.

The National Service Learning Clearinghouse: www.servicelearning.org
This site has a database for higher education service learning literature and links to a variety of activities on college campuses across the nation. It also has lesson plans, syllabi and curriculum ideas.

CampusCares: www.campuscares.org
This site is a resource for information about community service and civic engagement and its importance to the mission of higher education. It includes examples of "best practices," national statistics on community engagement, and ideas and examples for enhancing campus service activities.

This American Association of Community Colleges site collects community college syllabi in selected disciplines for its service learning clearinghouse to assist faculty in service learning development. Look under Curriculum Tools.

Miami Dade College Center for Community Involvement: www.mdc.edu/cci
This site includes an excellent set of guidelines for faculty who are seeking to incorporate service learning into coursework. It lists advantages and disadvantages of service learning and lists service learning suggestions for a variety of disciplines.
