For fall 2011, the SCC Players produced These Shining Lives by Melanie Marnich. These Shining Lives
"chronicles the strength and determination of women considered expendable in their day, exploring their true story and its continued
resonance. Catherine and her friends are dying, it's true; but theirs is a story of survival in its most transcendent sense, as they
refuse to allow the company that stole their health to kill their spirits - or endanger the lives of those who come after them."

Staged Reading and Stage Manager for Kill Me, Deadly) as Catherine, Andy Duncan (The Dining Room, Scenes of Life:
The Far Side of Life, A Cloud of Victims Staged Reading and Kill Me, Deadly) as her husband, Tom, Dixie Sampson
(The Dining Room, Scenes of Life: The Far Side of Life and Kill, Me Deadly) as Frances, and Cassandra
Carlson (Kill Me, Deadly) as Charlotte. The cast also included newcomers: Jessica Waldon as Pearl; Matthew Williams as Dr.
Dalitsch; Niko Hulse as Dr. Roundtree and Leonard Grossman; Guillermo Mendosa as Judge 2; Chris Jones as Company Doctor, Son, and Radio
Announcer; and Maryam Safarpour as Daughter and Reporter 2. Ken Martinez (1984 (Technical Director), Kill Me, Deadly
(Technical Director) was the Stage Manager.
