Kill Me, Deadly - (Spring 2011)
For spring 2011, the SCC Players are presenting a unique look at the 1940s film noir genre with Kill Me, Deadly by Bill Robens.
In the dark, steamy streets of L.A., we follow gumshoe detective Charlie Nickels as he investigates the case of a stolen diamond and
murders that keep seeming to happen as he gets closer to the mystery. During his investigation, we meet a variety of characters including
the mysterious femme fatale Mona Livingston, the wealthy dowager Lady Clairmont, the heiress Veronica Clairmont, the sniveling Clive
Clairmont, the butler Adrian Wilson, the big-time gangster Bugsy, and many more. All the while, Nickels is assisted by "his girl Friday"
Ida, who seems to have the answers before Charlie knows the questions.
This is a wonderful celebration of humor and nostalgia as we follow the detective story through twists and turns of mystery and intrigue.
The cast includes Chris Bastible (The Dining Room, A Cloud of Victims, Scenes of Life: The Far Side of Life) as Charlie,
