As a part of Admissions and Enrollment, campus tours are provided by the Campus Visitors Office Monday-Friday, beginning at 9:00 a.m. by appointment. The tours (particularly for large groups) should be scheduled two weeks in advance. No tours are available during finals or quarter breaks. Tuition and parking fees are paid to the Cashiers' Office. You may also purchase bus passes and medical and liability insurance. Distribution of financial aid, loan, and work study checks is handled through the Cashiers' Office, and you may cash personal checks up to $30 (two-party checks are not accepted). A valid photo ID is required.

The Continuing Education office provides programs that focus on personal enrichment and professional or career development in response to community needs. Coin-operated copy machines at a cost of 10 cents per page are available for student use in the Library and Media Services. Color copies and overhead transparencies can be made for a minimal charge with help from personnel in Graphics.

Educational, professional/technical, career and personal counseling services are available to all students and prospective students through the counseling center. Students should see a counselor prior to registration to discuss their program of study. Generally, students may see a counselor on a walk-in basis but during peak registration periods students could experience a lengthy wait. Counselors are committed to student success and are trained to help students in goal setting, defining career and program choices, college success strategies, evaluation of assessment tests, transfer information, course/program planning, referral services, and personal counseling. All information is held in the strictest confidence. The counseling center follows all FERPA regulations regarding student privacy and adheres to state and federal regulations regarding student disclosure while in personal counseling.

This center helps economically and academically disadvantaged students succeed in college. We offer bridging projects, First Year Introduction classes, Student Success workshops, and the Early Alert Program. We also house the Opportunity Grant which provides financial support and educational access for low-income Washington residents. Through the grant program, we may cover a significant portion of tuition, books, supplies, and emergency childcare.

Transfer advising, educational, and career guidance services are available to prospective and current students. Transfer counselors provide students with four-year university application deadlines, college essay and scholarship assistance, transfer information, degree and academic major planning, student success, referral services and crisis intervention. Local four-year university representatives are available on scheduled days/times to assist students with comprehensive bachelor degree planning.
Discount movie tickets to AMC Theatres and Regal Cinemas are available for purchase to students, faculty, staff, and their families.
The SCC Distance Learning office provides support services to students enrolled in a variety of distance learning courses including SCC Internet/Online, Washington Online (WAOL), Interactive Television (ITV), and telecourses.
Closure of classes or offices due to weather or other emergencies will be relayed to major local radio and television stations for broadcast. Information is also available at the Community Colleges of Spokane's website (www.ccs.spokane.edu) and the Operations Hotline at 509-533-3303.
Environmental Sciences has a floral shop and greenhouse. The floral shop has flower arrangements for purchase. The greenhouse has indoor and outdoor plant sales periodically throughout the year.
