Instructional Services

Spokane Community College's Instructional Services division consists of the Hagan Foundation Center for the Humanities, the Library, Media Services, and Web Services. These pages are intended to provide you with information about the services offered by these offices. In addition, they provide you with direct access to helpful informational resources.

Statement of Purpose (revised September 2004):
SCC Instructional Services provides leadership and support for outcomes-based teaching and learning by applying diverse materials and technologies to encourage information literacy, lifelong learning, and college development.

Library Bill of Rights: Spokane Community College Library endorses the Library Bill of Rights as set forth by the American Library Association, affirming the library as a forum for information and ideas.

Code of Ethics: Spokane Community College endorses the Code of Ethics as set forth by the American Library Association.

Library
The Library is the center for both traditional and electronic information and research. The Library also provides instruction in information literacy - how to find needed information and then how to interpret and use the information you have found.

Media Services
At Media Services, you'll find a wide range of services and access to technology. In our Media Lab you will find a student computer lab that includes student Internet access, media equipment checkout, and an academic testing center, as well as the LaserGrade and ACT testing center. Media Services also provides a full range of graphics production, color printing, video production, multimedia instructional production and assistance to instructors related to instructional design.

Web Services
Web Services builds, updates, improves, and supports the college's Internet and intranet sites.
