Admission Requirements

  • Completed International Student Admission Application with a $40.00 fee
  • Financial statement
  • Copy of Passport
  • Transcript from last college or university attended
  • Applicants must have completed high school and be 17 years of age
  • Transfer student? Also send a Transfer-In FormTransfer-In Form (located at: faculty.spokanefalls.edu/InetShare/CampusServices/InternationalPrograms/Transfer IN form.doc)

Language Requirements

Students having a TOEFL score of 500/173/61 may enroll directly in SCC's regular academic program.

SCC also accepts the IELTS test results. Must be the ACADEMIC version of the test, with no IELTS band lower than 5.0. Results must no more than two years old.

SCC also accepts the Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) examination with a minimum of a "C" grade.

Students without a TOEFL score, or with a score lower than the above levels, may first enroll in the Spokane College of English LanguageSpokane College of English Language (see www.usa-english.com/ for more details) – the intensive ESL program at Spokane Community College. Upon completion of the SCEL, students are guaranteed admission to the regular academic program at Spokane Community College.

On Arrival

Students entering the United States using the SCC I-20 must attend the New Student Orientation.
New students are required to complete the first term at SCC, and must have health insurance while attending SCC.
