Course of Study
During the first four quarters, students study the basics of electrical systems, air conditioning, power train, hydraulics, gas engines and
diesel engines. At the same time, they gain practical shop experience applying what they have learned. Related classes include math, technical
writing, communications, leadership and first aid. The last two quarters are spent in practical shop applications, with more extensive type
repair operations and the use of specialized equipment, tools, information and technique. Specialized welding and fabrication techniques are
practiced.
