Ruth Silverthorne, Counselor for the Cosmetology program:

and the first week of each quarter, Ruth may be found at the Counseling Center in Building 15. Her usual working hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
A Message from Kim Rose, admissions/registration processor for the Cosmetology program:
I have been with the Admissions/Registration office for 16 years and have been the Cosmetology processor for 10 years. The easiest way
to contact me is through email (KRose@scc.spokane.edu). I check my email often, but people can also reach me by telephone at (509) 533-8824
or 1-800-833-6384 (ask for 533-8824), or they may visit me at the Express Window without an appointment. Building 15 was home to the
Admissions/Registration office for more than 20 years. We moved to the Max Snyder Building (Building 50) in early November of 2001 to better
serve our students on an individual basis. The move is working out very well for our staff and students. Cosmetology is very popular among our
Technical Education programs; it has a high enrollment rate of over 80 students on the waiting list each quarter. There is currently a one- to
two-quarter wait for new students to enter the program. Enrollment for the evening Esthetician and Manicurist programs are also high, with over
20 students on the waiting lists. These programs are especially popular among students who work during the day.
Finding Us
Directions from I-90:
Take the Spokane Community College exit from I-90. Thor/Freya turns into Greene.
Directions from the north:
Follow Market south to Greene.
Directions from the center of town:
Follow Mission east to Greene.
Once you are on campus, you will find us in the southwest part of Building 1 (Old Main), on the second floor.
For drop-offs and pick-ups, please use the west entrance to Building 1. An elevator and stairs are available.
Parking permits are available at the cosmetology front desk or from Campus Security in Room 153 of Building 1.
