Ruth Silverthorne, Counselor for the Cosmetology program:

or in person in the Multicultural Student Services office in the Lair (Building 6, Room 115). During peak registration times for new students
and the first week of each quarter, Ruth may be found at the Counseling Center in Building 15. Her usual working hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Thank you for your interest in our popular cosmetology program at Spokane Community College. If you are interested in
applying to the program and have never applied to SCC, you may apply online at
www.scc.spokane.edu/?oladmiss or apply in person with the Office of
Admissions and New Student Entry located in the Student Services Building (Bldg. 15, Room 113). If you have questions
regarding program requirements, available start dates, registering for classes, or other topics, you may email me at
KRose@scc.spokane.edu) and I will respond to your questions promptly. You
may also visit me on a walk-in basis by asking for me at the Registration counter in the Student Services Building (Bldg. 15)
between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you prefer to contact me by telephone, please dial 711 (relay operator)
and ask for 509-533-8824. I look forward to serving you and wish you the best as you pursue your educational goals! On another note,
please call our student-operated salon at 533-7288 to schedule an appointment for one of our extraordinary salon services and meet
our fabulous teaching team.
Finding Us
Directions from I-90:
Take the Spokane Community College exit from I-90. Thor/Freya turns into Greene.
Directions from the north:
Follow Market south to Greene.
Directions from the center of town:
Follow Mission east to Greene.
Once you are on campus, you will find us in the southwest part of Building 1 (Old Main), on the second floor.
For drop-offs and pick-ups, please use the west entrance to Building 1. An elevator and stairs are available.
Parking permits are available at the cosmetology front desk or from Campus Security in Room 149 of Building 1.
Parking
meters are also available on the south side of the building.
