Bigfoot Head Start/Child Care Center
The center is located on the SCC campus in Building 20.
Teachers at the center are experienced and educated
in early childhood education and child development.
Do You Need Evening Care?
Evening child care is available for SCC/SFCC/IEL
students working or taking evening classes! Hours are Monday through Thursday 4:00 to
10:30 p.m. (No Friday care is available.)

The center is accredited through the National
Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education Programs (NAC), and complies with all federal, state,
and local regulations for Head Start and licensed child care facilities in Washington State.
Services offered at Bigfoot Head Start include:
- Early Head Start for children from 6 weeks to 3 years of age
- Head Start for children 3 to 5 years of age
- Evening and summer child care for children through 12 years of age
Head Start is a national program that promotes school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive
development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social, and other
services to enrolled children and families.
Children are accepted regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, or disability.
Hours:
Head Start and Early Head Start are in operation fall, winter, and spring quarters Monday through
Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Evening child care is in operation fall, winter, and spring quarters Monday through Thursday from
4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (no Friday care available).
Summer operations include Head Start, Early Head Start, and school-age care. Hours of operation during
summer quarter are Monday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
