What is WorkFirst Financial Aid?
WorkFirst Financial Aid is a tuition assistance program that is available to parents who are working, who have
dependent children, and who meet income guidelines.
What does WorkFirst Financial Aid provide for the student?
- Tuition and book assistance
- Required fees
- Educational planning
- Job placement through WorkSource
You may be eligible for WorkFirst Financial Aid if...
- You are receiving Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)
- You are have a dependent (under the age of 18) child residing in your home
- You are a parent financially responsible for your child under the age of 18
- You are working part- or full-time while enrolled in school
- You want to upgrade your job skills or retrain for a better job
- You fit into the Low Income Guidelines (your family income must be at or below 175% of the federal poverty level - see chart below)

- Have proof of your last two months of your household income when you come in for your appointment
