Carpentry and Cabinetry
A.A.S. Degree / Certificate
The carpentry and cabinetry degree program consists of six quarters of work. Students must maintain a 2.5 grade point average or
above in all required course work. A carpentry and cabinetry certificate program and basic and advanced cabinetry certificate programs
are also available.
The carpentry and cabinetry certificate program consists of three quarters of work. Students must maintain a 2.5 grade point
average or above in all required course work.
Basic and Advanced Cabinetry
1-2 quarter certficate, 16-32 credits
This program offers an introduction to fundamental terminology and basic math needed in the design, layout and construction
of residential cabinetry. Students also learn to identify types of soft/hardwoods and man-made sheet goods available to the
cabinet industry. Other topics covered: interior cabinet finishes, stain application, and spraying water-base lacquers using
a HVLP system.
This certificate can be applied toward the one-year carpentry and cabinetry certificate or the carpentry and cabinetry A.A.S. degree.
