24.  Crankshaft Welder

Students now have the opportunity to weld crankshaft journals with the Gleason submerged arc journal build-up machine and the Gleason process. Students are able to repair journals worn or damaged beyond regrinding using this equipment. Both cast and steel crankshaft journal can be repaired as well as heat treatable journals. The Gleason process is the latest technology available in journal repair.
